(1) GARAND STOCK, MARKED "P" ON GRIP, NO METAL PARTS, APPROX. The stock has the early long channel with a "W.R.A/W.B." and Ordnance Wheel cartouche on the left side with a single circled "P" proof in the grip area, with an early style buttplate that is checkered in the center only with a smooth outer border.M1 GARAND & CARBINE RIFLES STOCKS. It is fitted with an original WWII Winchester stock and handguard set with a grooved rear handguard band and the oval front barrel band. The internal parts are correctly "CM" marked and or punch dot marked. It is fitted with a correct Winchester front sight with screw cap still intact on the rear. It has the correct Winchester gas cylinder, and lock both with their early Du-Lite type blue finish with a single slot gas plug. It has a unmodified operating rod that is marked D35382-W.R.A., Bolt D28287-1 W.R.A., complete blued Battle Range marked rear sight set with the open arrows on both the elevation knob and the windage knob, with the early flat pinion nut. marked early trigger housing and milled trigger guard. It has all the correct parts to include a complete WRA marked trigger group with W.R.A. It has the standard receiver markings over serial number "1200001" with the barrel marked on the side with only a single circled "WP" proof. This specific rifle was manufactured in May 1942 and was the first rifle produced in that serial number block, right after the Win-13 receivers were manufactured. This is a fine example of an early WWII Winchester produced M1 Garand rifle.
